What does include the 1-year monitoring service? What’s that service about?
One year monitoring includes response to every alarm and or trouble received from your security system including a monthly open and close report. In the event of a burglary alarm, our monitoring station will call you in an attempt to verify the alarm. If we are unable to reach any of your contacts, we will inform 911. For commercial locations, we supervise the opening and closing, if the system is not armed by a predefined time, we will inform the customer.
What is Wifi alarm communicator (primary) and GSM alarm communicator (backup)?
The WiFi alarm communicator allows your system to be connected to our monitoring center and communicate via the internet/IP. This is the primary communicator for alarm signalling and remote access.
The GSM communicator does the same as a primary communicator however, it acts as a backup in the event of an internet outage or failure with the primary communication path.
Dual communication path provides a higher level of security.
If an item of the security package breaks or has malfunction will Global Security send someone to come and fix it?
Yes, Global Security provides a one year warranty on parts and labour however, only if the fault is due to a defect of the product or installation. The warranty does not cover accidental damage caused by the customer.
Will there be a support team that will come check the system every couple of months to ensure everything is operating perfectly?
With alarm monitoring, the system does a self-test daily. If any sensor batteries are low, the panel will report directly to our monitoring centre. Therefore there is no need for Global Security to constantly check the system.
How long does the service last? Is it a one-year service lifetime service? Does it need to be renewed or upgraded?
Monitoring services contracts don’t have an end date. However, this package has a ONE-year monitoring service.
Can I connect my mobile phone to the system, in case I am not home will I be notified via my phone
Yes, the monitoring service comes with a mobile app, called “Total Connect Service”. The app allows you to arm/disarm, manage users, check history and receive push notifications. Once you have purchased the deal, you will have access to the mobile app.
Does this package cover houses of multiple sizes?
The package is perfect for apartments, small offices and even 3 bedroom houses of one level. Each property is unique and one size doesn’t fit all, however, if your home is of large scale a different package is recommended.
How long does it take to install the system?
Installation time is usually 2-3 hours.
